August 2014Dear friends/watchers
I hope you are all keeping well, I missed by 8th anniversay on DA back in June so I want to thank you for all your support, help, inspiration and advice, I would not be here had it not been of the incredible artists I have come across on this site . It is time I move on to a proper camera but I need your help buying one, I have a budget £500 and my brand of choice is Canon, if you have any suggestions please note me. I am under pressure, my Sister's wedding is less than 4 weeks away and I will need to have mastered my camera by then, If that means going on a crash course then I am up for it!
I apologise for my lack of activity I am snowed under at work and at home, summer is also a dead season for me, I am just glad we are in August, July was most unpleasant and depressing, the hot sweaty commute to work, the sleepless nights, I am looking forward ro autumn.winter!
Apologies for my absence.Dear all
I have been busy over the past two weeks as Im sure so have many of you, I think I might have missed important birthday for which I am terribly sorry, I will try to be around more often this week although the summer period tends to be my most uninspiring time!

The concept of Astrology or “study of the stars” has been around since the ancient world and can be traced as far back as the first dynasty of Mesopotamia.
For some the stars are a portent of the future and help inform one on the best course of action to take based on the stars’ alignment. If born under a specific “star” or month during the year you may have certain characteristics and manneri
How to get noticed on deviantARTHi there!
People asked me several times when I've became 'popular' on this site and in which way. I must admit I smelled a bit of envy in their tones, but the thing that troubled me more was that they didn't think that my work was worth all the pageviews I got over the years.
Well, I wanted to explain this little thing right now... dA costed me a lot of work! It wasn't a 'BOOM! POPULAR!' thing at all for me.
I had to study other people's methods too and to work hard on improving my art, and it wasn't easy. At all!
So tonight I'm sharing with you some methods to get attention by dA community.
Don't take them as unquestionable laws, just take them for what they are... Hints.
They worked for me but they may not work for you.
And now that you have a dA account...
What should you do?

Alice Meets the Cheshire Cat by feliciacano
The more one is denied something, the more one desires it.
The more oppressive the strictures circumscribing one’s life, the more delirious become that person’s dreams. The more prohibitions and sacrifices one accepts as a life’s duty, the more ingenious must become the approved “escapes.

Rise From the Dead
“Where are tonight the sword and its swinger, the holy spells and their singer? Where is the light to scatter the ghosts, the sight of dawn to shatter the frost? Fears can be hidden, and hearts’ fire kindled, but will shadows be caged and demons faced? The curses of liches linger like winds of winter, and wolves howl a hymn for the undead's hunt… who will be safe from the grim reaper’s swing, and who will fall in its grip?”

Published in 1865, Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland is celebrating its 150th Anniversary this year.
Alice has been quite busy during that time. She’s had her story adapted into several movies, TV shows, ballets, plays, operas, and theme park attractions. Her trip to Wonderland is quite well known around the world. What is less well known is Lewis Carroll’s (whose real name was Char

Message in a Bottle: The Eternal Act of Faith
Whether it’s the sole survivor of a plane crash, stranded on a fly–speck Pacific island or the forlorn deserted lover standing alone in the early morning fog at mid–span of Waterloo Bridge, there is nothing sadder, and nothing more defining of the human spirit, than the tossing into the sea of the “message in a bottle.” The idea, more than the actual execution, of this desperate measure, has come to symbolize an eternal act of human faith — that somehow Divine Providence will guide this message through the shifting seven seas to be found on a beach by the one who needs
